Private DNS hostname

family.cloudflare-dns.com

What does this profile change?

It changes one system setting: encrypted DNS. DNS requests are sent to Cloudflare instead of the default DNS supplied by your ISP or cellular provider.

Good to know

Private DNS applies across Wi-Fi and cellular networks on Android 9 and later. VPN apps and browsers with their own Secure DNS setting can replace it. DNS is not a VPN. It does not hide your IP address, but encrypted DNS prevents your ISP or cellular provider from reading your DNS requests.

How to remove

Open Private DNS again and choose Automatic or Off.
