Private DNS for Mac

Install on Mac

  1. Click Download Profile below.
  2. Open Apple menu → System Settings.
  3. Select General.
  4. Open Device Management.
  5. In the Downloaded section, double-click the Private DNS profile.
  6. Review it, then click Continue and Install.
  7. Enter the Mac password when requested.
  8. Enjoy private and fast internet.

What does this profile change?

It changes one system setting: encrypted DNS. DNS requests are sent to Cloudflare instead of the default DNS supplied by your ISP or internet provider.

macOS may identify this profile as unsigned. That means the publisher identity is not cryptographically verified. You can review the readable profile contents before installing it.

Good to know

DNS is not a VPN. It does not hide your IP address, but encrypted DNS prevents your ISP or internet provider from reading the DNS requests sent through this profile.
